Synchronising a new or old remote key

Handy note. If you buy a new key or your remote loses sync. You can unlock the car and put the key in the ignition to disable the alarm but those 2 seconds of wailing alarm soon wears thin. This can be a newly delivered replacement key or one where you took too long changing the batteries or the batteries went dead on a spare for example.

How to re-sync or sync for the first time;

On later vehicles (which included mine which is a 97) the key auto syncs when you put it in the ignition and turn the car on.

On earlier ones up to 97, you need to put the key in the drivers door, lock or unlock it and press the lock and unlock buttons. That is it. No need for the EKA code at all.
